How does it work?

Just before we start, this strategy is only available for USA Amazon account buyers. We can only give the books away on Amazon.com.

The main idea is that we pre-purchase a suggested 300 ebook gift cards, which will be dispensed from our platform as traffic is driven and promoted as a "free Kindle ebook". 

Once this initial purchase is made, you can re-price your book to anything you want.

At the same time, we will run Amazon ads for actual buyers of your book and generate leads and free book traffic on your LinkedIn.

In Month One:

The first step is we undertake an "audit" of your ebook on Amazon and make suggestions for improvements.

We then research the best categories that will allow you to be better found in Amazon's search engine.

Once that's done, we run a "mini best seller campaign" to get your book moving and ranking.

Then we review your LinkedIn and set up access on our system to start building connections and sales leads for you. 

At that point, you will need to pay an additional $99 (estimated) per month for LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

We will then "warm up" your LinkedIn profile for the next 30 days, ready for month 2 and beyond.

The next step is we set up your Amazon Ads Account and Budget, which we suggest you set at $150-$250 per month.

In Month Two:

As part of our overall strategy, in month 2, we need pre-purchase 300 Gift Card Codes for your Kindle eBook designed to cover a 3-6 month campaign. You will need to pay the US$990 setup fee to start this process.

At the same, we are running Paid Amazon Ads to sell your book, which we will review and tune.

We then launch the welcome messaging via your LinkedIn Profile to drive traffic to your custom "free ebook" website where visitors "claim" their free Kindle Book.

We can optionally capture their email address and encourage reviews and upsells on your book claim page.

In month Three (and beyond)...

Once we are all setup, we will continue to monitor and modify as needed to run your campaigns. At some point, you will need to top up your "gift cards" which are priced at US$3 per code, to cover our costs and provisioning (assuming we buy the book at US$1.00 each).

  • Have access to their own KDP and are willing to lower the book price for a few days to 99 cents, thereafter they can re-price to whatever they feel will work, typically $2.99 to $9.99

FAQ

Does my book have to stay at 99 cents?  

No, once we have purchased your gift cards you can re-price it

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes, you need to give us 30 days' notice, but only after the initial 90 days.  You need to commit to at least that to give the strategy time to work and to cover the project costs.

Will this strategy work outside Amazon USA?

No, the gift card system we use only works for USA accounts right now. We have plans to expand to Canada and UK in the future.

What if I don't want to use my own LinkedIn account?

Well... We have a "Virtual LinkedIn Profile option, we create a new profile for someone who will act as your assistant and connect and message prospects. You will "own" this account forever. You will still need to log in and respond to any direct messages, however. We charge a one-off setup fee of US$250.

So how much revenue can I generate?

There are several revenue angles here. You will earn royalties on the gift card books at 35% of 99 cents. Plus royalties in sales of your Kindle book at RRP. Also, if you have a paperback/audiobook, these are typically sold when someone visits the Amazon ad and chooses a different format. If you price the book at $6.99 and make 50-100 sales a month, the return should be around US$1,500 to $3,000 over 6 months. 

In addition, your LinkedIn connections will grow by around 100-200 a month, and you will be getting messages from prospects as you give away your free ebook.  By our sums, if you sold $1,000 a month to a new prospect, then you are likely slightly better than breakeven.

If you don't have a backend product or service to sell, then this may not be the strategy for you.

Can I drive traffic to the free book page?

Of course! in fact, this is a great way to boost this strategy to an even higher return on investment.
