Campaign credits are like tokens or stamps. You need to spend a credit every time you create a new campaign. Your plan gives you a set number of credits, and you can buy more if you run out.

What does a campaign cost?

| International — any other choice of countries, on its own or alongside the USA | 2 credits |
Choosing a single country that is not the USA (the UK on its own, for example) still counts as an international campaign.
How do I get credits?
- They come with your plan. Credits are added automatically every time you are billed. If you pay monthly you receive credits each month; if you pay yearly you receive them each year when your plan renews.
- You can buy extra. If you need more campaigns than your plan allows, you can buy additional credits at any time while your plan is active.
- Unused credits roll over. Credits do not expire at the end of the month or year. If you do not use them they simply build up in your balance.
Your statement
The Campaign Credits statement is a running history of your credits, much like a bank statement. Every time credits come in or go out, a line is added showing what happened, how many credits were involved and what your balance was afterwards. Lines that paid for a campaign link straight to that campaign.
What if I run out?
If your balance is too low you will not be able to create a new campaign, and the Campaigns page will show a message inviting you to upgrade. Nothing already created is affected — your existing campaigns keep running as normal. To carry on creating campaigns, either upgrade your plan or buy more credits.
Archiving a campaign
Archiving is permanent. Once you archive a campaign you cannot bring it back, and archiving does not refund the credit you spent on it. If you want to promote the same book again later you will need to create a new campaign and spend credits again.
Because of this, please double-check before archiving. If you have archived something by mistake, contact support — an administrator can restore it for you.
If you cancel your plan
Campaign credits belong to an active plan. If you cancel, your remaining credit balance is cleared and you will not be able to buy more credits. Re-joining later does not bring the old balance back, so it is worth using your credits before you cancel.
Common questions
Do Book Alerts or Event campaigns cost extra?
No. Every campaign costs the same 1 or 2 credits based purely on which countries you target. Book Alerts and Event campaigns are features of a campaign, not separate charges.
My credits look wrong — what should I do?
Check your statement first, as it explains every change to your balance. If something still looks wrong, contact support and quote the date and description of the line in question.
